The Town of Culture Outdoor Gallery has been shaped by the people of Rochdale, co-curated by local residents known as ‘Cultural Pioneers’ through Culture Co-op, the Arts Council’s Creative People and Places programme for Rochdale Borough. The panel of Cultural Pioneers selected 23 artworks from over 100 submissions, with all selected artists being paid for their artworks to be exhibited.

The Town of Culture Outdoor Gallery also makes space to celebrate the young talent that can be found across the borough, featuring artists from Hopwood Hall College and Rochdale Sixth Form College.
