Active & Creative Darnhill Communities is a vibrant initiative led by an alliance of 7 art, culture & sports organisations connecting Darnhill residents plus opening opportunites for enriching experiences for everyone. Supported by Action Together and Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit.
Resident artist at the yard every Thursday 7PM-8PM.
Young producers monthly on Thursdays 4:30PM-6PM. Peer-to-peer outreach monthly event.
Workshops and accredited training in sport coaching and community sport delivery.
Up to £2500 Grant Funding available for groups and individuals using sport for good.
Nail art workshops at Darnhill Community Cafe in Darnhill Library one Saturday per month
Performances of ‘Crossing The Line’ by Breaking Barriers.
Continuing professional development workshops around youth voice and creativity to reduce violence.
Young leaders program for selected young people to discover their own potential, build confidence and skills and explore college and employment ideas.
1:1 mentoring for selected age 11-18 young people who would benefit from support. A mentor provides guidance, advice, and support to help you grow and achieve your goals.
Performance activity, games and conversation about consent using Theatre of Opressed technique in 12 workshops at Our Lady & St. Paul’s Primary School in 2025.
