Culture Co-op is now looking for a new engaging Visual Art Installation that can be exhibited outside the Rochdale Town Hall.

If appropriate, depending on the medium, the artwork could be exhibited for up to a one week period before/during the build up to Merhaba Festival 2025. However, we will also accept proposals for artworks that will only happen on the day of the festival.

Key Conditions

• We will accept artwork / installations that have been shown or exhibited elsewhere, however, we are keen to receive an original submission. We are looking for a new artwork but if someone has an existing artwork or concept that can be re-purposed in new and imaginative way, then this will also be considered (if unsure, please get in contact with us to discuss the idea)

• Artists will be responsible for delivery, installation and collection of the artwork

• We would like to explore an artwork or performance that can happen outside the Town Hall

• If the proposed artwork is an installation, this will need to be weather proof

• Ideally create something that the community can keep (but not essential)

• We are not expecting for the artwork to be co-produced. However, if the artist chooses to do something participatory in nature, we can help identify local community groups, or the artist can work with the 12 person community panel to develop their artwork.

o   Visual Art

o  Sculpture

o  Installation

o  Immersive

o  Moving Image / Sound

o  Performance Art
