Culture Co-op is now looking for a new engaging artwork of any medium that can be exhibited outside Rochdale Town Hall. The artwork will be exhibited for one day during the festival.

What We Are Looking For

• Ambitious, bold and beautiful

• Celebrate/Represent local Rochdale Muslim communities

• Bring people together

• Empower local communities

• Foster long-term engagement beyond the festival.

Key Conditions

1. We are looking for a new artwork but if someone has an existing artwork or concept that can be re-purposed in new and imaginative way, then this will also be considered (if unsure, please get in contact with us to discuss the idea)

2. Artists will be responsible for delivery, installation and collection of the artwork

3. We would like to explore an artwork that can happen outside the Town Hall

4. Needs to be weatherproof, as it will be installed outside

5. It is not expected for the artwork to be co-produced. However, if the artist chooses to do something participatory in nature, we can help identify local community groups, or the artist can work with the 14-person community panel to develop their artwork

6. It could be any, although not limited to, the following visual art forms:

• Sculpture

• Installation

• Immersive

• Moving Image / Sound
